Hershey is tightening it's quality control measures after an onslaught of damaged kisses hit the market. The chocolate company is investigating and making changes in response to Hershey's Kisses with missing tips being distributed to stores. A representative told Business Insider on Thursday, that the company's operations team is "looking at how to tighten up the variability to deliver a better consumer experience,". The Kiss catastrophe comes as high freight costs are cutting into Hershey's profits.
In response to rising costs, Hershey announced in July that it plans to raise prices.
