According to Reuters, heavy rains in California may present rescue crews with more problems as they continue to search for the dead and missing following a wildfire.
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection warned people to be alert for sudden flows of debris down the scorched and barren slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
The remains of 79 people have already recovered since the Camp Fire sparked on Nov. 8th.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office has tentatively identified 64 of the victims.
But sheriff’s office still has 699 names on a list of missing persons.
Although a storm is expected to rain up to 4 inches in northern California, which will help suppress the fire, heavy rains could also cause flooding in the area.
