According to Reuters, Israeli warplanes attacked the Syrian capital of Damascus with missiles on Tuesday. An arms depot was hit in the attack injuring three Syrian soldiers. A Syrian military official appeared on state-sponsored TV and said; “Our air defenses confronted hostile missiles launched by Israeli warplanes from above the Lebanese territories and downed most of them before reaching their targets". The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a U.K.-based war monitor, said Israeli missiles were launched from above the Lebanese territories and targeted western and southwestern Damascus rural areas.
