With a cloudy morning and little chance of a sunrise, Lachlan and I headed south to the Boranup Forest to photograph a panoramic image of the majestic Karri trees. Photographically, I looked for pattern, specifically area where I could capture repeating trees that continued off into the distance. Ensure your panorama works. Use a tripod and make sure it’s level. Turn your camera so it’s in a portrait orientation to capture as much of the scene in front of you as possible. With the camera pointed to one of the main shots in the pano, work out and set the exposure and focus. With those set, it’s important that you don’t change so you have consistent exposure and focus throughout the entire series of shots you take.
